You’ve seen those suburbs. Perfectly manicured lawn nestled
up against row after row of identical houses inhabited by identical people.
Maybe you live there – if so, I am sorry – in one of those nightmare factories
where conformity is manufactured and the individual is ground down to nothing.
The Home Owners Associated dictates every detail, every cornice and garbage
bin. Nothing truly lives there. Nothing sane.
Now there is a movie that plays into the dread most of us
feel just thinking about those places. The sterility. The sameness. The ennui.
Vivarium, directed by Lorcan Finnegan, and starring Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg looks wonderful. Please checkout the trailer.
