Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill began as a single film that grew during production and was eventually split into two parts for its theatrical release. Tarantino has spoken of possibly editing the tow halves together into a single film for re-release, which reportedly would have been called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. So far, at least, that hasn't happened.
Q has spoken from time to time of creating a third Kill Bill film, one that would pick up the action years later. The standard assumption has been that it would be the tale of Vernita Green's daughter coming to get revenge on The Bride. But, Q says a lot of things. We all know what became of the promised vega brothers movie. Most fans have just assumed that Kill Bill Volume 3 was just a pipe dream that Quentin liked to talk about sometimes. Maybe that's still the case.
However, Collider is reporting that Tarantino seems to be more than hinting that Kill Bill 3 will happen. He says that he finally knows how the story would work, and mentions that he has been talking to Uma Thurman (who shared story credit on the first two films).
So - maybe Kill Bill Volume 3 will be the next QT movie after all. The only question then is, does it count as his tenth (and supposedly final) movie, or as the last third of the KB movie? I guess we'll find out in a few years.
